Summertime Pictures

The trees are turning green with new leaves. Early Springtime flowers are in bloom. I know in the coming months the amateur photographer I am desires to capture the colors and emotion associated with summer. I also wish to share those photos with friends and family. Some I will share on social media, others from the phone and a few I print on paper.

I must confess 85% of the photos I took lack the emotional draw that drew me to take them in the first place. Those pictures don’t have the excitement I had when I took that photo. In desperation to truly capture the color and emotion associated with an object, I decided to take photos with something other than just my cell phone. After a bit of research, I came up with a camera in the $200 range.

It was the Kodak PIXPRO Astro Zoom or AZ528-BK. What attracted it to me was the 16 MP Digital Camera with 52x Optical Zoom. It also allows to 1080P Full HD Video with a 3″ LCD Screen.

In the first half of above banner (labeled A), I snapped a shot of the tulips in the front planter box set at default setting. In the second half (labeled B), I took snapped that photo with my cell phone.

After reading through the Get Started sheet that came with the camera, my next step was to compare it with what my cell phone could do. In front of my place is a flower bed and tulips are in bloom. I first snapped a picture AZ528 and snapped four shots: in Auto (tulip #1), Shutter priority (tulip #2), and Aperture priority (tulip #4). Tulip #4 was taken with my Samsung S22 Ultra cell phone. All without a tripod standing in the same place.

I know a lot of any art form is subjective to the viewer or readers. You tell me in the comments below which tulip is the most attractive to you.
