A Move And A New Chapter

For the entire month of August, I have been working through one of the longest moves of my life. It wasn’t because of the amount of stuff I had to move. I was waiting for my remodeled place to be ready due to many delays.

What I learned during the actual physical move was that since I am a male of seventy-plus years, I benefited from going to the gym three times a week by not pulling a muscle or strain when moving my dresser and desk. I did, however, have a longer than expected recovery time from the extreme physical needs. It reminded me of the song by Toby Keith: in believing to be able what I once was. My body cried out to me, “I need rest!”

My mind rebutted, “Get up, lazy you have more work to do.” I finally threw up my hands and got some rest.

I must add that the undaunting task of finding a place for all the stuff that was packed and transported and finding where to put it. For the new place has similar square footage but is not configured in the exact manner of the old one. The whole settling-in process took away from my writing.

I did some looking back at the Sgt. Psycho project. I am not satisfied with and dislike the way I am telling the story. So much so I am stopping at its current stage and rewriting it from different points of view.

You will not see me posting any more chapters on EFWrites.com. However, I will be posting short stories and observations every week or two.

I encourage you to sign up for my newsletter for notification for when something new is posted on EFWrites.com.
